Collection Overview: RCFC/WCD logo The Apple Fire LiDAR mapping project was performed by the Photogrammetry section of Riverside County Flood Control to map terrain influenced by the Apple Fire (July 31, 2020). The purpose of the project was to predict mudflows and plan efforts to mitigate damage to property downstream. This was the third of three flights. The three flights had different limits. The LiDAR is QL2 and bare-Earth. The date of acquisition was September 15, 2022. This data was created for urgent disaster response, and Riverside County Flood Control does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the product. Users accept sole responsibility for verifying the accuracy of the data.
