This metadata record was created by the NOAA Office for Coastal Management (OCM). Information from the PSLC King County 2016 - 2017 Lidar Final Technical Data Report, dated June 23, 2017, were used to populate this record. In February 2016, Quantum Spatial (QSI) was contracted by the Puget Sound LiDAR Consortium (PSLC) in association with the Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management to collect Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data in early 2016 for the PSLC King County sites in Washington. Data were collected to aid PSLC in assessing the topographic and geophysical properties of the study area to support a variety of tasks including municipal planning, change detection and geomorphic mapping, and hazard mitigation. These data were collected between February 24, 2016 and May 25, 2017. OCM downloaded 2664 laz files from the PSLC ftp site (http://pugetsoundlidar.org/lidardata/restricted/las/pslc2016/KingCounty, Delivery 1, 2, 3, 4 Block 1 and 4 Block 2) and processed the data to the Data Access Viewer (DAV) and https. During processing, OCM noted that there are ground classified points in water bodies. In addition to these lidar point data, the bare earth Digital Elevation Models (DEM) created from the lidar point data are also available. These data are available for custom download at the link provided in the URL section of this metadata record. This data set is an LAZ (compressed LAS) format file containing LIDAR point cloud data.
