Original Product: These lidar data are processed Classified LAS 1.4 files, formatted to 3000 ft x 3000 ft tiles; used to create intensity images, Bare Earth DEMs, and Highest Hit DSMs.
Original Geographic Extent: Jackson County, Oregon, covering approximately 506,952 acres.
Original Dataset Description: The OLC Jackson County 2023 Lidar project called for the planning, acquisition, processing and production of derivative products of the lidar data and was to be collected at a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of 8 ppsm - 0.350 meters. Project specifications are based on the U.S. Geological Survey National Geospatial Program Lidar Base Specification, Version 2022 rev. A. The native projection is Oregon Lambert Conic Conformal, units are in International feet. The native horizontal datum is NAD83(2011); the native vertical datum is NAVD88; (Geoid 18). Lidar data was delivered as processed Classified LAS 1.4 files, formatted to individual 3000 ft x 3000 ft tiles, intensity images, bare earth DEMs, and highest hit DSMs; all tiled to the same 3000 ft x 3000 ft schema and mosaicked.
Ground Conditions: Lidar was collected between November 14th, 2002 - November 22nd, 2002 and June 28th, 2023 - June 30th, 2023 while no snow was on the ground and the area was free of cloud cover.
