The data contained in these files contain hydrographic and topographic data collected by the CHARTS (Compact
Hydrographic Airborne Rapid Total Survey) system along the Apostle Islands in Wisconsin. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers collects and maintains LiDAR data including orthophotos in coastal areas of the United States and its territories. The Corps acquires this data in the course of performing its mission of flood control, navigation, environmental engineering, and support for the Army and others. These lidar data points are classified as 1 - Unclassified and 11- Bathymetry. The data were collected on the following dates: Lake Superior (Apostle Islands, WI) collected October 12 and 13, 2007
