Calibrated aerial images (12x12m pixel size) were collected by the National Geo-Spatial Information of South Africa (NGI) on June 24th 2015. These aerial photographs were aligned and converted into point cloud in AgiSoft Metashape. The point cloud was rasterized into digital surface model (DSM)[10X10 pixel size] in ArcGIS. The DSM was used to extract elevation profiles in order to estimate the size Kruger-Malale Scarp. The size and other parameters of the scarp were used to estimate possible earthquake magnitude related to the scarp, which was essentially the main objective. Under the supervision of Dr Alastair Sloan (Senior Lecturer at University of Cape Town) and the guidance of Shaakirah Adams (MSc graduate from University of Cape Town) , the above data processing was conducted by Anzani Ramagadane (PhD candidate at University of Cape Town). This research was financially supported by National Research Foundation of South Africa (NRF).
