The MLS vehicle was directed along both sides of the F1 rupture trace at a distance of ~10 -15 m. This focus on the rupture trace achieved point density of 1000s of pts/m2 in the nearest field (+/- ~10m from the trace) and 100s of pts/m2 out to ~ 100m from the trace.
